Discover how Native Americans and early Quaker settlers used things from the natural environment to make toys. Make your own corn shuck doll to take home. Our costumed interpreters will show you how.

Village Fair at Mendenhall
The High Point Museum opens the Mendenhall Meeting House in City Lake Park as part of the day’s celebration of the history of the Quakers, early Jamestown, and the Historic Mendenhall Plantation. Our historical park will be closed so our interpreters may participate in this event.  Call 454-3819 for more details.

Early settlers hunted game in the forests of the Piedmont for their families.  Examine a powder horn and make your own bullet as you learn how they prepared for the hunt.  All ages welcome. $1 per bullet.
