celebrates Women’s History Month. Four prominent,
politically active, local women, Becky Smothers, Bernita
Sims, Judy Mendenhall, and Mary Jarrell, will reminisce
about women from their pasts who influenced their lives,
and who helped guide them down the paths they have
taken.

“Tracing Quaker Genealogy” Gwen Erickson, librarian and
archivist of the Friends Historical Collection at
Guilford College, will discuss records of Quaker
meetings in Randolph County, and manuscripts and
publications relating to families in Central North
Carolina dating back to 1680.

Wool Carding & Spinning
Find out how the early Quaker settlers turned wool from
their sheep into warm clothes for the winter. Try your
hand at carding wool and then watch our costumed
interpreter spin it into thread. All ages welcome.

Theodore Kornweibel will present a lecture on his new
