Lois Powell, founder of the Washington Drive Resource & Enrichment Center, and Ms Sandra Satterfield, the Center’s activities coordinator, will update the public on their efforts to preserve the heritage of the Washington Drive in High Point and produce a documentary about its past.

Candle Dipping in the Historical Park

Light up your dark days of winter with a candle made in our historical park. Our costumed interpreters will show you how. All ages welcome. Cost: $1 per candle. Free for members.  Drop-in.

HeritageQuest is available to all North Carolina library card holders from home and contains some very useful resources for the genealogist, including a census search and browse function, abbreviated Revolutionary War pension files, PERSI, published genealogies, U.S. Serials Set and Freedman’s Bank Records.  Limited to 5 participants.  Please pre-register by calling 336 883-3637 or email

Get ready for the Easter Bunny! We’ll provide eggs you can dip in dyes made from plant material, like onionskins and blueberries. All ages welcome. $1 per egg. Free for members.  Drop-in.
